On 29 April 2026, the Finance Forum Liechtenstein 2026 was held in Vaduz, bringing together more than 400–450 decision-makers from across the financial industry in the German-speaking region. Now in its 12th edition, the forum once again confirmed its role as a key meeting point for representatives of finance, politics and business connected to the Liechtenstein financial centre.
Held under the theme “Securing Stability – Shaping Change,” the event focused on the current environment facing the financial sector and provided a structured platform for dialogue through keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops and networking sessions.
The forum was opened by Liechtenstein’s Head of Government, Brigitte Haas, who highlighted the importance of stability and continuity in an increasingly uncertain global environment and reaffirmed the relevance of Liechtenstein as an international financial centre.
Global market developments were addressed by stock exchange correspondent Jens Korte, who provided an overview of current conditions in international financial markets and outlined key risks and developments affecting investors.
A panel discussion featuring Roman Pfranger, CEO of Neue Bank, and Angelika Moosleithner, Partner at First Advisory, focused on the current positioning and growth prospects of the Liechtenstein financial sector, offering insights into its ongoing development.
Patrick Odier, Chairman of Lombard Odier, contributed a broader strategic perspective, addressing the transformation of the financial industry and the future positioning of both Swiss and Liechtenstein financial centres within the global landscape.
Further sessions explored specific challenges facing the industry, including competition for qualified talent, discussed by Georgine Roesle, and leadership in times of crisis, presented by Thomas Süssli, Chief of the Swiss Armed Forces.
The forum concluded with a geopolitical outlook by Christian Lindner, former German Federal Minister of Finance, who outlined the economic implications of current global developments. He examined Europe’s role in the global landscape and highlighted both future opportunities and challenges. Lindner expressed the view that a more united and sovereign Europe would be beneficial for financial centres such as Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
