BENDURA WEALTH MANAGEMENT has opened its doors in Hong Kong. With this grand opening, we're strengthening our presence in Hong Kong and Asia.
Our Grand Opening and Seminar in Hong Kong was a great success. Gathering over one hundred guests, including C-suite and director level professionals as well as industry leaders from the corporate wealth management, family offices and trust sectors in Hong Kong and mainland China, we provided a day of invaluable information and excellent networking opportunities for all attendees.
The event consisted of three keynote speeches and a panel discussion where our speakers discussed various topics related to wealth structuring and management as well as private banking.
Here are some of the takeaways from our event:
Keynote: “Private Banking: Pitfalls & Solutions in Client Onboarding”
Our Head of Hong Kong Representative Office, Lillian Lee, shared some of the pitfalls and solutions in client onboarding. The objective of this keynote was to encourage employees to address these pitfalls and implement the suggested solutions to improve the onboarding process. This keynote was a reminder that improving client satisfaction can only ultimately drive business growth, especially in the highly competitive private banking landscape.
Keynote: “Wealth Structuring: Requirements and Solutions”
Hannah Blecha and David Jandrasits of Schwärzler Rechtsanwälte spoke about the specifics of different legal entities in Liechtenstein such as foundations, trusts and establishments. The focus of this keynote was not only to explain the differences, but also to suggest the best strategies for asset protection, privacy and effective wealth preservation for clients. Understanding the different entities and their advantages ensures that professionals in the banking industry can better serve their clients.
Keynote: “Asset Management Environment in Hong Kong”
Lawrence Lau discussed the latest initiatives from the HKSAR government and the policies of the Hong Kong Investment Corporation. The guests had the chance to learn more about how they support asset management in Hong Kong. As professionals in the banking sector, it is crucial to stay up to date with policies to ensure the most optimal recommendations.
Panel: “Asset Management Environment in Hong Kong”
In a panel moderated by Professor Martin Wenz, our speakers Philipp Forster, Hannah Blech, David Jandrasits, and Richard Grasby discussed global trends and regional development topics around governance, transparency and reporting, mobility, taxation, geostrategic challenges, cross-border issues, and asset management including ESG, philanthropy and charity.
With this opening, we are strengthening our presence in Hong Kong. We will continue to work on offering relevant services to our clients in Asia.
