Liechtenstein’s Prime Minister Brigitte Haas met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels on 12 November 2025 for a bilateral discussion.
The meeting focused in particular on the importance of the EEA Agreement for Liechtenstein, as well as on Europe’s economic security and competitiveness.
Given the current geopolitical challenges, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of maintaining a close dialogue with the European Commission President:
“As a participant in the internal market, Liechtenstein actively supports the EU’s efforts to strengthen competitiveness, simplify regulations, and enhance economic security,” said Haas.
Ursula von der Leyen praised Liechtenstein as a reliable member of the European community of values.
